Magento CE 1.9.2 has now been released and is available from download from the Magento Commerce Website, and it contains a whole host of enhancements as well as the latest Magento security patches: SUPEE-5344, SUPEE-5994, SUPEE-6285.
Technical Changes in Magento CE 1.9.2
There a host of improvements in the latest release of magento including the Zend 1 Framework and Redis Integration, those of you who have read our previous blog on Magento & Redis Backend Cache will know we are big fans of Redis for both Sessions and Backend Cache on Magento systems.
Magento Automated Testing Framework.
In addition to the technical fixes, changes and enhancements that have been included in Magento CE 1.9.2, there is also a new automated testing framework with over 170 automated functional tests available to you.
Security Fixes & Enhancements.
Magento have also rolled a number of recent high priority security patches into the new 1.9.2 release including (SUPEE-5344, SUPEE-5994, and SUPEE-6285) making it more than an urgent priority to upgrade, or at the very least apply these security patches to your Magento install.
